Steak and Shrimp stir fry

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Steak and Shrimp:
    • In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, and sugar. Add the sliced steak and shrimp, toss to coat, and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In another bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Steak:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry until it’s just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, add the shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 1-2 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside with the steak.
  5. Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
    • If needed, add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add the bell pepper, carrot, onion, and garlic, and stir-fry for about 2 minutes. Then, add the broccoli and snap peas, and continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are just tender but still crisp, about 2-3 more minutes.
  6. Combine and Finish:
    • Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir the sauce once more and then pour it over the stir-fry. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened and everything is heated through, about 2 minutes.
  7. Serve:
    • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, if necessary. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
