Instructions:
Prepare the Meatballs:
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
Cook the Meatballs:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove meatballs and set aside.
Make the Mushroom Gravy:
In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until they are tender and browned, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir for 1 minute to cook off the flour taste.
Create the Gravy Sauce:
Slowly add beef broth and water, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens.
Combine and Simmer:
Return the meatballs to the skillet with the gravy. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
Season and Serve:
Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
