Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant.

Add the heavy cream to the saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, overlapping them slightly. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.

Layer the remaining sliced potatoes on top of the first layer. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Once baked, remove the gratinated potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.

Serve the delicious Gratinated Potatoes as a side dish with your favorite main course or enjoy it as a comforting and satisfying meal on its own. The creamy, cheesy potatoes are sure to be a hit!
