mouthwatering recipe for a Fruit Frangipane Tarte 😋

 

Ingredients:

• 1 sheet of puff pastry

• 1/2 cup almond flour

• 1/4 cup granulated sugar

• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

• 1 egg

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Assorted fresh fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, peaches)

• 2 tbsp apricot jam

• Sliced almonds for garnish

• Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it on the baking sheet. Score a border around the pastry, about 1 inch from the edge.

In a bowl, mix almond flour, sugar, softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract until creamy. Spread this frangipane mixture evenly inside the pastry border.

Arrange your choice of fresh fruits on top of the frangipane layer.

Warm the apricot jam in the microwave for a few seconds and brush it over the fruits for a glossy finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the fruits are tender.

While it’s baking, toast a handful of sliced almonds in a dry pan until they turn lightly golden.

Once your tarte is out of the oven, sprinkle the toasted almonds over the top and dust with powdered sugar.
