Potatoes and Fried Onions/Peppers with Smoked Sausage 🥔🧅🌶️

Ingredients with quantities for each ingredient:

  • 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into slices
  • 1 onion, sliced into rounds
  • 1 red pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 green pepper, cut into strips
  • 500 grams of smoked sausage, cut into rounds
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation :

  • In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  • Add the potato slices and fry until golden and crispy. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the onion rings and pepper strips. Sauté them until they are tender.
  • Add the smoked sausage rounds to the pan and brown them lightly.
  • Return the cooked potato slices to the pan with the vegetables and sausage. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle with paprika, salt and pepper. Mix again to distribute the seasonings.

Cooking :

Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally, to warm all the ingredients and allow the flavors to blend.
When everything is hot, remove the pan from the heat.

Garnish (optional):

If desired, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top before serving.
