Instructions:

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Crust: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and egg, blending until the mix forms coarse crumbs.

Form the Base: Firmly press half of the crumb mixture into the bottom of your greased dish, forming a solid base.

Mix the Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the sliced peaches, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch until the peaches are well-coated.

Assemble: Layer the peach mixture evenly over the crust, then sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.

Bake: Place in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the crumble topping is golden and the filling is bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares to serve.
