Instructions:

Start by Preheating Your Oven: Set your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Cream the Sugar and Butter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until they are light and fluffy.

Add the Eggs: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to ensure a smooth batter.

Mix in Flavorings and Flour: Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Sprinkle in the flour and mix until just combined.

Incorporate the Buttermilk: Gradually add the buttermilk, beating continuously until the mixture is well combined.

Prepare the Pie Shell: Place your pie shell on a baking sheet lined with foil. Carefully pour the filling into the shell, filling it to the brim. If you have extra filling, pour it into an ungreased custard cup.

Bake: Transfer the pie into the preheated oven and bake for about 70 minutes, or until set.
