Buttermilk Bundt Cake with Butter Sauce

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Add buttermilk, butter, vanilla, and eggs. Mix on low until moistened, then beat on medium for 3 minutes.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake cools, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, water, and vanilla. Heat over low until the butter melts, stirring constantly. Do not let it boil.

Pierce the warm cake with a fork or skewer and pour the warm butter sauce over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
Let the cake cool completely before serving.
