Instructions:
Begin by peeling the apples and removing the cores. Slice the apples into sticks roughly ½ to ¾ inches in width. Soak these apple sticks in a bowl with the milk to coat them evenly, then set this aside.
Create your dredging mixture by combining the flour, cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a shallow dish. Once mixed, put this aside.
In a small dish, mix the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar with ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. This will be your sweet topping, so mix well and set it aside for later use.
Proceed to dredge the milk-soaked apple slices in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well coated, and lay them out on a tray ready for frying.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Prepare a plate lined with paper towels beside the cooking area. When the oil is hot, fry the apple slices in batches, about 6-8 at a time, and cook each side for 1-2 minutes until they turn golden and crispy.
As each batch is fried, transfer the apple slices to the paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle them with your sugar-cinnamon mix while they’re still warm.
Continue frying and seasoning the rest of your apple slices. Serve these delightful apple wedges fries warm and enjoy their crispy sweetness!
