HOT CROSS BUNS RECIPE

 

🌟 INGREDIENTS

◾️4 cups of flour

◾️1 cup, lukewarm milk

◾️1 cup raisins

◾️1cup castor sugar

◾️2 tbs Cinnamon powder

◾️2 eggs

◾️100ml butter, melted

◾️10g yeast

◾️1 tsp salt

For the cross:

◾️½ cup self-raising flour

◾️125ml milk.

🌟 PROCEDURE

◾️Pre heat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

◾️Combine the yeast, sugar and milk.

◾️Stir cover and set aside for 5-10 minutes.

◾️Sift the flour, salt add in cinnamon and raisins, pour in melted butter and eggs, pour the yeast mixture.

◾️Knead the dough for about 10 minutes or until mixed well.

◾️Cover and place in a warm spot for an hour or until double in size.

◾️Press the dough flat then knead again, break the dough into tennis balls sizes and place in the baking tray.

◾️Mix the self raising flour with milk then place in a piping bag.

◾️Pipe across the buns then bake in a pre heated oven for 30-40minutes.
